Default S90 Front Seat Cushion Extender not working

Hi guys,

I'm a new Volvo owner after going through and getting tired of the usual German makes and models over the past 25 years.

So I bought my 2018 S90 six months ago now and it still makes me smile every time I go to drive it.

An issue that has just cropped up on me is that the drivers side seat cushion extender (handle under the front seat lip) is stuck and won't adjust. It's controlled manually and feels like the spring to extend it is broken. My wife was driving it last night and obviously it retracted for her without issue.

I've been trawling online looking for schematics or diagrams of how it works or of similar issues being reported without success.

Does anyone here know how I should approach it before I start trying to unbolt and remove the seat to explore what's going on?

Thanks
