Default 1998 V70R Nautic Blue

Having just bought a new car tonight at auction, 'Big Blue' requires a new home.

186K, Full R spec, cream leather, sitting on Volans with premium tyres, also comes with 5 comets with legal tyres.

Full Panasonic prologic DVD and St Nav system professionally installed. Nokia bluetooth handsfree.

Last year's MOT cost 200 quid then I spent 700 quid renewing the front suspension.

Previous year was 150 for MOT plus 500 quid for front pads and discs (Pads have a lifetime warranty if you pretend to be me)

Tax and MOT due at the end of this month but I am so confident in this car I will MOT it at my expense if the price is agreeable.

The only faults with this car other than a few minor cosmetic war wounds, nothing ugly are :

Front fog light and grill missing (Replacement Light unit supplied)
Passenger seat electrics, don't for some reason.
And the ABS/Tracs needs repaired or replaced.

Everything else works.

I need to shift her fast so if they're no interest, I'll ticket her and stick her on Ebay.

Looking for around 1500 as she sits but removal of the stereo would bring the price down substansially.

She's filthy at the moment but pics can be sent if you are genuinely interested.

(In case anyone wonders, I've capitulated and bought a 60 mpg diesel estate)

what kind of £ would you be looking for, for the sound system, if it was an option?
Are the speakers in the same positions/mounts and dimensions as the standard model vehicles?
I was under the assumption that its just the amp and/or CD changer that requires extra locating, maybe there's a dash speaker that's different as well?

Regardless of the grime it does look rather fgood, in that deep metallic blue with the beige/cream leather.
Must be thirsty but fun to drive.

Hello, i would of really liked this if its a manual but bought a c70 T5 that will be hard to sell now. would it be possible view and possibly buy the comets off you alone? What condition are they in and what tire size at present? Mine is on the bbs propus at the moment are in dire need of a refurb and make the car look a banger!

Many thanks

Sorry Guys, been busy and hadn't noticed these replies.

Comets are in fair condition with some scrapes and kerbing and have plenty of tread left on budget tyres.

They are for sale separately for £225.

The car is an Auto, I would be interested in a deal on a C70 convertible.

Pictures will follow in my next reply.

The car will have an MOT and six months road tax if it's not sold before Friday this week.

The price without the sound system is £1200. and with the sound system is £1600.

On Friday I will be putting it on Ebay and Piston Heads if there is no further interest on here.

Thankyou

I don't think those pictures do Big Blue justice, other than the passenger side bumper and door, there is no damage. Yet these pictures make the dirt look like damage.

He scrubs up not too bad for a teenager !

Looks a nice car for the money I must say, even as an auto i would of preferred it to my hard top C70. No etm issues to worry about either. What size are the tyres on the comets and in one picture adove i thought they looked quite dark silver? Could i come and view them or could you take some pictures of them?

Thanks

The wheels on the car in the pics above are Volans in anthracite not Comets

From memory it's 205 55 17 tyres but i'd have to check
