Default thinking of using local garage for terraclean in my xc70 D5

hi what are peoples thoughts on terraclean , not the engine clean , just on the inlet turbo egr side of things , ive been quoted £110 for a deep carbon clean , i took the front egr pipe off at the weekend and found whats in the pic so i guess the rest is the same , not good , already got limp mode going on at high revs like in my other post

I think people who haven't used it have mixed views but after they do it their views become less mixed

I tried it on my 07 S60 last year, but to be honest I haven't found any difference.£115.

Hi it will not clean the intake, at all, it will not clean the back of the intake valves,,

As indicated, it could only possibly clean areas that fuel comes in to contact with. A can of LiquiMoly Diesel Purge will do the same sort of job for a lot less money.

I'm no mechanic but that looks way beyond what a Terraclean would remove anyway, you need a shovel not a fuel additive surely!?
