Mine passed today. Three advisories, although they said rear pads were low which is contrary to what main dealer told me just a few weeks back. Another advisory for surface rust on the exhaust, but they failed to mention the missing bracket and rubber hangers. Still, happy to have passed with no additional expense

After its new master cylinder my '71 144 passed this morning with flying colours. I do find the differing tester opinions on things on my car very worrying: my brakes were spongy so I told the garage to find fault and do as necessary, but no mention of sidewall cracking on at least two tyres, and battery not secured (I only put it back in this morning!).
Still, as it says on the paperwork, the car is only confirmed satisfactory at the time of testing. Being an ex-engineer I will be glad when MoTs for older cars are abolished, as the firm swapping my MC didn't know how to reset the pressure splitter valve on the inner wing - I had to do it for them.

Wife’s 17 year old Agila passed its MOT yesterday.

Who’d have thunk it, a 17 year old Vauxhall. And not a fleck of rust on her.

Over the last few years, every MOT the V90 has passed has been accompanied with the warning that it had only scraped through on emissions, two new lamb sensors this year and no warning.Result. Half the battery box has rotted away, the only rot on the car,but that was not spotted.
