Default Servo

Powertune Lockheed Style Remote Single Circuit Brake Servo, Ratio 2.3:1

I've decided to swap my very powerful 2.3:1 servo for something less fierce; it's too "on/off" for the Devon lanes resulting in the wheels locking up too easily where the roads are a bit gravelly up on the top of Dartmoor.

I went for something so powerful when I towed a caravan and the 2.3:1 is much more suited to fast road where it pulls the car up really impressively with very little pedal effort.

It's 4 years old and under 5,000 miles. Bought from MGB Hive for £124. I would obviously recommend having it apart and putting in new seals - I thought about doing this to see if that alleviates some of the snappy response, particularly when you come off the brakes, but the comparison of cost of just swapping the whole thing to one with less power made my decision.

If you already have a Lockheed servo, this will fit right in its place. Otherwise the new one I've ordered has the complete fitting kit. I made a nice set up using some angles from B&Q!

Shall we say £30 plus postage?

PS:2.3:1 means 2.3 times the output pressure to 1 input pressure, so it more than halves the pressure you put on the pedal. It really is quite an easy brake pedal.

Hi,

I would take it with the fitting kit please, if you let me know the easiest way to pay.

Thanks
David

Sorry - it's been sold and is now in a Land Rover. Sorry I missed you
