Ah, it's obvious now you've pointed it out. Thanks.

Noticed this on mine recently. Quite like it. Would be good if they matched the beat of the music.

worth heaping praise on them tho for the fact that they are the brightest and best indicators on the road i think...

You see some cars like the outgoing Qashqai model.. you seen where those indicators are?? tiny things right next to bright LED running lights.. impossible to see them. Dangerous...

No such problem with these on the xc90 even if they are erratically timed..

I'm also enjoying the sheer road presence of it. Massive car with super bright lights makes most people think twice about carving you up.

Lighting overall is a strength of XC90.

I do like how noticeable the indicators are on the 90, agreed. One question though - I see that in the daytime when indicating the DRLs dim so the orange light is more obvious. What happens at night though? Does the dipped beam also dim when indicating? If so wouldn't that be dangerous as you'd be without illumination on one side?

Or, if the dipped beam doesn't dim at night wouldn't that make the orange light harder to distinguish from the white light surrounding it? Similar issue to the aforementioned Quashqai, although not as bad admittedly, but the problem of differentiating between two light sources close together (well, same place really) would exist?

Twice now in the last 2 days I have noticed that my indicators are on, but that they just go silent and stop "ticking in the car".

I had the indicator on to turn left and was at a junction. I suddenly realised that I couldn't hear them, and thought that had knocked them off, but looked at the dash and it was still flashing, then it started making the noise again.

Another gremlin. Wonder if all the gremlins will be gone by the time I hand the car back at 3 years old? Not sure I would want the car out of warranty....
