Over-charging issue
Hello,
After having to replace the battery on my 1994 850 estate I found that it was due to it charging at too high a voltage, at idle I was getting 16.2V across the battery. I purchased a new voltage regulator and fitted it onto the old alternator, now it is charging at 16.7V! Is it possible that there is something else causing the issue or have I bought a faulty regulator? Thanks, Andy |
