Hi Dippydog, thanks for the info, however you say there are 2 sensors, and you only need to replace one. I can only find one on the air filter side of the TB. Any idea if there is a difference in the sensors? I can find ones for every model except the 2.4l 170bhp

Hmmm, making me wonder if they fitted more than one design of MM throttle body.Anyway looked up on e-bay TPS to fit '99-'02[according to listing] item number 254167346557.Does this look anything like yours?Or do you know the part number of your throttle body?

yes, that looks like the unit, but there are others that come up in my searches for between £8 and £25 like this one: 371773147385
Are they no good?

The part I changed on mine is the one I gave you the item number for,if yours looks like it then it should have two[one on each side of throttle body]of which you change just one.The item you've given the number for I can't say about,does your car have one that looks like it? If so where is it mounted?Without seeing your throttle body I can't say which part of the two you would need.If you look on e-bay at throttle bodies and see one on there that looks like yours post the item number so I can see if it's the same as mine.Or perhaps others on here may know with more certainty.

well if it is on the point of failure wouldn't you rather know about it and fix it Rather than have it let you down miles from home?

Forgot to add, I've done plenty of research about cleaning the MM ETM and the conclusion I've reached is that its safe to do so provided you:

Don't soak the ETM in carb cleaner because the electronics aren't hermetically sealed, rather spray it onto a rag and use that;

The most abrasive thing to use is a soft worn out toothbrush, not a wire brush, ie be gentle;

You can move the flap and clean all around the butterfly with the ignition switched off. Don't try to move the flap with the ignition on (although you can do so by depressing the accelerator)

I'm going to clean mine tomorrow (July 9th 2020) having suffered erratic idle recently, and will let you know how I got on, if you can wait a day to clean yours.

The Sacer SA300 does appear to have vanished from the website. If I was gong to replace mine, I was going to email them.
