Default Volvo Owners' Club Magazine

Yesterday, I received my August copy of the VOC magazine, 'Volvo Driver'.

I feel that this is worthy of mention as in my view this is one of, if not the best, owners' club magazines produced. It exudes quality in both print and materials. It embraces the whole Volvo scene: this month, cars featured the new 'XC60 D4 R-Design' to a Diesel powered 'Duett'. News and views, culminating in an excellent National Rally / BKV report, supported by Branch and Marque reports all make for an interesting read.

If pressed, my one criticism would be the leaning towards newer rather than older Volvos, but I accept that is a personal preference and that others may prefer differently.

Point is, magazines - of any quality - do not just 'happen'. They have to be produced, and that requires a lot of work and dedication on the part of the officers of the club, section secretaries, register keepers, and so on, not to mention those who physically put the magazine together, print and distribute it to club members.

Many clubs make do with a photocopied A4 newsletter at best; 'Volvo Driver' is a country mile away from that, and worthy of our thanks and appreciation to all those involved in its production.

Regards, John.

It is a great magazine.

I have to agree that also for me there is far too much about sub 15 year old cars. I have zero interest in anything that new. However with having said that when the club was setup it was for new Volvo's as there were no older models in the country at that time. I can be certain there are just as many readers who have zero interest in reading about a old amazon or 740. The balance is probably about right

Of the various 'clubs' I have been in over the years, this one has the best club magazine I've ever come across... by miles.
