Default Gas Strut and position of heated rear window switch

Where can I get a gas strut for my Amazon estate tailgate?
Also where is the heated rear window switch situated on the dash?
Thanks
Jonathan

Brookhouse has the strut, expensive at £84. Possibly one from a Rover 600 boot will fit but measure before you buy and check the end fittings. Someone here may have details of a suitable replacement that they have fitted themselves. Would be a useful fact to know.
Estate never had a heated rear window as a original fitment so switch placement is up to you.
