D5 oil/Diesel air leak
I have a 2010 V70 D5, the twin turbo version.
As you face the engine bay from the front of the car the second set of high pressure fuel pipes from the left seem to have a black substance on them. Doesn't feel like oil really. It only seems to be on the underside. I am not currently running with the noise cover on at present either. There is a spray pattern into the cover that is above this area as well. There is no obvious signs of leaking, cant see any splits in anything. It seems to slowly accumulate on the underside of the pipes. Spoken with a garage briefly on the phone and he reckons something to do with Swirl flaps, but that doesn't make any sense at all. Have stood there with the engine running and there was no mist being sprayed anywhere. Anyone any ideas? Would post pictures but its not letting me, if someone else can mail me and I will mail the photos over. Thanks Cheers |
