S90 Momentum vs Momentum plus

Hi guys,

Can you help?

I am trying to get a definitive list of what is different with the PLUS. Has the PLUS taken over from the Momentum in the 2019 model? The volvo website now shows a Momentum with 17 inch wheels and no foglights?

The current price list mirrors the change to just Mom Plus, R Design Plus and Inscrip Plus. No std models. Part of reducing range to reduce the number of individual new emissions tests etc that they hav to conduct I suspect
The price list is for cars built after the MY20 (late) change in November 2019.
It shows fixed fog lights ands 18 inch wheels for he Mom pro.

The Plus seems to be slightly short compared to the old Pro, I dont see the adaptative shadow lights listed in there.

I didn’t get on with the smooth leather in my XC60, didn’t want another black interior and didn’t want the chrome on the doors, so I specced up a Momentum with pro and ton of other stuff, an inscription was cheaper, not with the extra obviously

Volvo did something similar with the V60 range last year (just after I bought my car). You could no longer get the Momentum Pro and could only get the Plus which had some new nice things (18" alloys vs 17"; front parking sensors; etc.), but missed out on a lot of the Pro features that I really like (shadow lights; heated steering wheel; HUD). The cynic in me wondered if too many people were buying the Momentum Pro over an Inscription, as if you could cope without the [admittedly rather nice] Inscription bling, then you actually ended up with more toys.

Yes that is true. Momentum Pro on the XC60 is less than the Inscription but perhaps it isn't so much of a problem for Volvo on the XC60 as I wouldn't be surprised if XC60 buyers are more concerned about looks so willing to sacrifice toys for style?

I think as far as the V90 (and likely S90 too) the Plus is just the original plain old momentum with the upgraded electric seats and larger alloy wheels as far as I can see from the brochures.

The Pro was a serious upgrade but you need to go up to R Design or Inscription to get the contents of the old Pro option.

When I ordered mine the Pro was available and I think the next MY replaced it with Plus. From a leasing cost point of view the R Design and Inscription were actually cheaper than a Momentum Pro!
