Yup, my one included. I do it as my 940 is reasonably low mileage (for a 940) and it had a full dealer service history and a door step of receipts to go with it when I inherited it. I intent to keep the car however I cannot predict what might happen in the future so would like to keep it as desirable as possible. With the car now rising in value I consider its probably worth maintaining the history provenance. In terms of parts supply the dealer is reasonably good at sourcing original parts and reluctantly pattern parts from 3rd part motor factors if original parts are no longer available. At times this means the car having a “mini break” at the dealers at times and me having to have a plan B for getting to and from work. The push bike is OK but I do find it a problem moving a whole classroom of computers at the same time on it! 😉

Regards

Ben

The cheapest pumps are easy to identify with the pressed steel impeller rather than the original cast one. The pressed steel version is considered to not pump as well but that aspect is not an issue. Failure is most often leaking but can be bearings or the impeller even falling off. Seeing as it is on I would wait for it to start leaking/make noises before replacing

If you want to know what part number is required for a specific model you look up the model BOM (Bill of materials).

It is true that some people advertise stock 'for 240', instead of '240/940'
If should be simple like you say but when the dealer goes through the computer system these problems are showing up. There are also some issues with part numbers being changed and teh system not being updated

.
As far as I am aware there is no such system. It would be a good idea but would involve the info being provided having to be checked
