Ok, I return form my garage...internal diameter is 2.5" I think the tailpipe is 3" but guess that's for cosmetic effect?
I guess 2.5" is still pretty decent? J |

2.5 will be ok , you can still have a 3 inch downpipe and cat tho .
my car is chipped just recently , and its no faster , in fact its worse at the moment . the std ecu should cope with 1 bar of boost , just make sure you have fuel and listen for pinging , the chip of course will stop the nasty ping you get when going from open loop to closed loop .

Hi Dave,
How much of the third world deficit is a 3" pipe and cat going to cost me? who/were do I go for such a thing? allegedly we have a good stainless exhaust man here near Norwich, what's it likely to cost? Did you purchase Fred's chips? I hope you didn't get the Harry Ramsdens? Lol Going to have to figure something out for the suspension, we had to fit 215 tyres instead of 205 to gain a tiny bit more ground clearance, it still grounds out on everything, including every level of the local Cinema car park the other night, I don't mind it chewing up my old rusty pipe, but a new stainless one would leave me feeling a bit pig sick. It catches on the CAT, it's heat shield is already long gone, maybe it's just not fitted correctly, although it looks like it's been on there years? And it shipped out today...in possibly the most crazily oversized box for a cam I've ever seen. It originally housed an engine stand! Ryan's school of packaging is taking new students
cheers James

Whoo hoo!....
Having picked up a second 940 sports today, I feel like my luck is flowing, having said that took the ammo for it's MOT,(ran out on 6th) but she failed...only on a rear wheel cylinder though, they had an XC90 in with a totally screwed braking system....damn Fords in disguise..:-) Just twigged you guy's are both in Lincoln, I'm often passing through. Sports rear Nivos
If the poster above is getting shot of sports rear Nivos and springs I might be in the market if they are any good. Nivos should pump up in about 100 yards.
If there are sport front springs and shocks in the pot too it adds seasoning! |
