V70 with B5244S Engine and Haynes
Hello all
I've bought a 2000 registered V70 with the 2.4 n/a B5244S engine. Can anyone who has the Haynes manual confirm whether or not this engine is covered or not? Looking at the cover online, it doesn't seem to be. Thanks, Nick |

🤣Sorry John, I mustn't have expressed myself very well. What I mean is... does Haynes have information about this engine?

If, like mine, your 2000 car is a late Ph.1, you will need the earlier manual. I found they were a bit thin on the ground; I eventually found one in a charity shop for £6. A local bookshop said they would look for one for me, but when it came it was for the Ph. 2 cars, which can also be 2000 registered. When I pointed that out, the book seller was not amused. Somehow, the confusion was my fault! I think in this case any confusion was because my Saab 9-3 'vert does have a physical engine cover and I thought that it was to that which you were referring. My apologies once again, and I hope that this answers your question! Regards, John.
