Are you completely cutting this option out? Or it may work?
the sensor is on the other end of the crankshaft behind the belt pulley! if no one has tampered with it or the signal wheel it will be ok . just handling the signal wheel can damage it .

Thanks a lot for info. So where would you start? In situation when dealer diagnostic isn’t first option.
As I said sensor itself is fine, and has checked ECU and ECU’s wires.

the sensor picks up on the part of the flywheel fixed to the crank, not the drive plate side. so I would not expect the flywheel to damage the sensor, though, I appreciate it can on some vehicles.

It was second hand and it didn’t sort the problem.
I was told that ecu’s contacts heated up and caused problems, but it didn’t seem that at the end.
Why the second hand ecu wouldn’t work?

Very unlikely if you have no code relating to it ..you cant guess you need it diagnosed 100% .....

I have question about ecu.
Is it hermetically sealed? Or does it have some kind of ventilation?

Have you tried changing the magnetic ring? I had the issue which had corrupt signal due to this magnetic ring
