Steering column cowl
My C70 MK1 has a broken steering column cowl on the top half, simply wont fix down, been annoying me for a while, but can I find one on eBay, I’d do better looking for a one legged ballerina! My question is, is there any other Volvo model that uses the same cowl or is it unique to the 70 series? I saw an XC90 one which looks very like it but I’m not sure if it is?

Breakers
Hiya,
I would suggest giving Volvo/Saab breakers in Nottingham a bell. I haven't got the number to hand, get it from Google. They will ship the part if they have it. I found them really helpful when I dealt with them. |

Had the same problem back when I had my V70.
I feel that those 'clip type thingies' that formed part of the original design were a bit flimsy. I did what I thought to be quite a good bodge job with the aid of "Blu-Tak" to hold everything in place. And I lasted until (at least) I sold the car.

I would be on for giving Minty in Derby some comms, assuming he still in business ( very likely )
Damaged steering column cowels very common in my ( albeit ) limited experience due to the approach by the typical vastly overpaid under educated mechanic ; Oh I cant be bothered to find the last little torx or 2 holding that bit of plastic together so I shall use all my vast intelligence / knowledge and tug it until it does come off |
