Of lesser importance, but still relevant, would be the inflation pressure. Still lesser would be the number of miles on the tyres.
Most important info as MPG is so different with each Model Year Tyres Etc

Make of tyre dosn't appear to make much difference on the XC90 as far as it's possible to tell. Pressure does though. I run my Vredstien Wintrac 4 Extreme's at 40 lb. I get about 40 mpg which is considered very good for an XC90 which is the size of a small cottage. ;-)

2007 S60 D5 (185) Manual - computer says 37.1 MPG, which I'm a tad disappointed with, there seems to be an issue with the clutch/DMF slipping, don't know if that would impact economy much.

Daily commute involves a mix of 70mph dual carriageway, 40mph dual carriageway, city driving during rush hour etc, about 20 miles in total.

I struggle to get more than 35-40 MPG on dual carriageway a lot of the time, it's only travelling through town at 30-40mph in 5th/6th that's keeping the average fuel consumption a bit on the low side.

She's riding on 225/45R17s, if that helps.

As if "driving Miss Daisy" in a S60 2.4D (163bhp) EuIV 6sp-Manual, running 215/55 x 16 at 36psi ...........my best ever is ~67MPG over a 500+ mile motorway journey. Day to day, I see mid-40's.

I remain gobsmacked. This number is almost as good as an EuIII V70 D5 that I once owned. Used to see low 50's all the time with mixed driving. (Lack of DPF and reasonable roadcraft). This was the same car car that cleared a 1000miles on brim-2-brim fill on a long motorway run at a sedate pace.

On a sidenote the most disappointing car I own(ed) is the current shape Generetion III V70 D5 185bhp 6sp-Manual........high 30's to low 40's.

V70 D5 SE with 225/45 R17, can't remember pressures but did check them the other day, computer average since I got it 4 weeks ago is 56MPG. Had to re-set the service indicator mid tank so lost the trip mileage, but over 800 miles to the tank without the re-fuel light coming on. Windows up and air-con off because I'm a tight northener! And I do drive like Miss Daisy, and I'm 27, owned an Audi A3 3.2 V6 before so loving the MPG... can you tell?! Ha Ha
