V40 1.6 D2 2014 D4162T Low fuel Pressure

Ok so my car has started juddering and a puff of blue smoke from the exhaust pipe when first startup, I had the oil filter and oil change + the fuel filter changed but still have the same problem.

on startup if i throttle the car three- four times it clears and car ticks over fine.

I took the car to Volvo Birmingham paid £120 for a diagnostic they didn't find any fault codes but suggested I replace the fuel filter to eliminate this.

On the report there are to P-codes ecm P228c7b and ecm P229100 relating to low fuel pressure, as pre tj27523 suspect fuel filter my be the root cause.

Can anyone adivse.

It is most important that you have a VOLVO fuel filter , they have a blue dot on top .They are a higher capacity than any other make or type which fits.

Thank you for the advice my local garage fitted an after market fuel filter and told me it dosen't make an differents? but what do I know. will get it change for an original one.

That's why is best to stick with volvo for your parts, at least then you have eliminated that part from the equation.
