Default Engine management light

I have a 2000 V70 2.4 petrol auto (older shape) recently the battery went flat and when the battery was recharged the engine management light came on 1-2 days later. I disconnected the battery and reconnected 10 minutes later and the light went off the following day it came back on!? I don't think its a major problem but its annoying, the car still drives the same, any ideas?

You need to get the codes read then post code here. My car is same year as yours and had similar thing last year eml light on and off, clearing ok then coming back but driving ok while light on. Mine was front o2 sensor and was quite a dear fix.
