P1800/123GT Engine
Hi All
I've been told that the 123GT had the P1800 engine in it and thats part of what made it special and set it above the other Amazons. My train of thought begs the question... What were the differences from the other models that ran the same B18 and B20 engines. I know the B18B gained a large advance in power in its last form at 115hp but the P1800 was around long before that homologation which occoured around 66-67 and thats when the first GT's arrived. This one has puzzled me for a while and its irritated me so badly now that I beg someone to please put an end to it! Dylan Last edited by Dylan144GT; Oct 1st, 2008 at 15:10. |

AFAIK, the only internal differences between the various versions of the B18 were limited to the headgasket (to change compression ratio) and the camshaft.
I think that this also applies to the B20s, except that the fuel injected ones had bigger valves.
