Default For those who have black towbar covers on their XC60's

It lasted a week, before I hated it. So, I went to a local car paintshop suppliers. He did a swab check on the colour of the R Design rear panel and came back with an Alfa colour !!!. So, I was relieved of £45, for a plastic etch primer, can of Alfa silver and a matt lacquer.
1 coat of primer, 3 coats of paint and 1 coat of lacquer and it looks like this.
From close up, the colour looks slightly off, as the cover is rough plastic and the rear panel is smooth. But I am happy with it, looking less like a nasty black cover

Cheers Mike, it looks better from 5 yrds, just the flash shows a different finish because of the plastic being rough .

My cover was silver when it came from Volvo - doesn't need to be black , chase the dealer and he should give you a silver one to match the car.

I didn't buy it new and to be honest, you'd think I was taking the food bowls away from the sales mans kids, they were that tight. They couldn't even refurb a wheel properly. Don't believe what a selekt car brochure says for what you should get for 3 yr old car.

Wimorrison, think you will find that that for that version of xc60 the cover is only available in black , there is already a post about this, I have the same problem.
