Question Advice on price for an 06 D5 185 PS SE Lux

I'm looking at an 06 plate SE Lux with the 185 D5 engine with 82k on the clock. Its currently priced at £17k. Is this a fair price or should I haggle to get it down?

Haven't taken it for a test drive yet but it looks ok from a quick viewing with three screaming kids!

Mrs is a little nervous about the size so may see if I can get Front Park Assist added, although should I mention that before I haggle on a price or after?

Thanks

Wayne

Looks expensive to me for a car with 80k+ Miles - but then I'm comparing it with the new XC90 Active models people bought just over 12 months ago for just less than £21K new ...so not like for like.

So ..for a similar car - why not buy the one in the thread below this...

It's a 57 reg (2008 MY) SE with 37k miles on for similar price to the one you are looking at.

With that year of car 2006-2008 also check that its not one of the 185 D5's that fall into the £400 a year road tax bracket. There was only about a 2 year window where XC90 D5's did, models either side of that age window are £200 a year cheaper to tax. Not a huge amount but its a grand to George Osborne over 5 years!
