John the previous owner was a real gentleman and helped me out a few times with hard to find parts, guys like him make owning a classic much better experience. He would be happy to know his old car has gone to a good home and to be used daily. |

Got to say, it's stories like this that make me realise I'm doing the right thing by Amazon hunting. I've met a lot of decent people who really do give a damn!

PM or email mitchthe@hotmail.com a postal address and I'll send you some old pics of the car. I also have an article in an old Volvo owners club booklet that John wrote about buying the car which I can also send on.

Returned to road
Blue estate now returned to the road after a lot of welding (whole of the rear end, chassis legs, inner wings, etc). Lasted 4 days then axle broke off o/s support arm, made a hell of a noise. Other side looks paper thin as well - anyone got any estate support arms? They cost a fortune new!

Thanks for the responses to my suspension woes. Ended up buying the whole shaboodle (arms, bushes, bolts) new from Amazon Cars. Rob & Emma have always provided a good service, I'm expecting the parts tomorrow.
