Question oil for a 2001 V40 Diesel

Can someone tell me please the recommended oil grade for a 2001 V40 with the Mitsibushi 1834 cc Diesel engine the query is from a new member without a PC, thanks

Any 10W/40 semi or fully synthetic will do.

However, just a warning. The GDI engine is a petrol one and not a diesel one

i was going to put that but couldn't be sure, the 5w 30 must be for the T4's then

Lol, don't start an oil thread. Btw my t4 handbook says 10 40, contradicts what the Volvo link says. Ho hum.
