Or perhaps she didn't find anything she liked at the shops? It's raining and she says she doesn't want to walk over to Wetherspoons and announces she'll sit in the car (because it's nicer in there than Wetherspoons) and phone her mother. You say 'that's OK, I've unlocked the boot so you can open it unnecessarily, but at least when you do so it will unlock the rest of the car. You'll only get a bit wetter messing around because the app won't unlock the doors directly.'

Not without the key she wont! Opening the boot which has been unlocked remotely without the key present will do nothing, and as soon as the boot is closed it locks again.

She then phones you back and says 'This car is a load of cr*p. You can open the boot, but it doesn't even have the umbrella holder in there that your V50 had. I'm getting soaked. Get your a*se out of Wetherspoons and back to the car.'

Actually, the app did say opening the boot unlocked the other doors.

Quite surprised that the VOC doesn't close an open window.

Passenger window was very slightly open (not enough to notice), but the App Reported passenger window "Open" - and a red line on the VOC App picture.

Pressed LOCK, and the window remained "open"
Today, the window rattled a little - I realised this was still "open", and closed it manually. (rattle stopped)

What's the of showing open windows, if you can't close them over the VOC App?!

Is there a Wetherspoons in Middlewich? If so I am on my way! I haven't been to Middlewich since 1981 - one Sunday night when all the pubs had shut early and the last bus had already gone.

Sadly no, we still have a few other pubs and the occasional bus but the neighbouring upmarket town of Sandbach has one.

Middlewich's only claim to fame is being at J18 of the M6 which features on the traffic news every day, even John Bishop has just moved out of his manor house here because it's too far from Wetherspoons and he loves a beer with his breakfast!
