Default Clunk on XC90 when turning left or right... any advice

I have an intermittent clunk when either turning left or right. It seems to do it whilst applying the brakes and turning at the same time at low speeds. Anyone else had a similar problem??

Where is it coming from? Mechanical underneath or inside?

I would say from the front wheel area. I wondered whether it was the brake pads as they have been stripped before due to bad squealing. Mines 18 plate with 7500k on the clock. Is the brake pads clunk a common thing?

You must surely have checked the wheel nuts for tightness?
If so, have a look at the security of all fasteners on the suspension, shielding and steering rack and parts.

Yes first thing I checked. I am wondering whether its the steering rack. Hope not. Booked in for end of November so maybe the fault will start showing itself more by then. Drive to Italy at Christmas so need it looking at in case its something serious

Are you air or standard suspension? Early models air suspension fault was giving similar symptoms at low speed.

Cheers for taking the time to post this. Understand the brake clunk but not sure why it only does it when turning?
