Fitting Aftermarket Reversing Sensors? XC60
I've bought some Dolphin aftermarket sensors to fit to the rear of my XC60 (I looked at the 'no holes' systems but the bad reviews put me off) but before I start I thought I'd try and locate instructions on how to remove the rear bumper but I'm struggling. Does anyone know where I can find some??
Also, the fitting guide says a cable may be required as when wiring to the reversing lamp as the car may detect a bulb fault. Does anyone know if this will happen?? Thanks for your help. |

Have a look at the Volvo accessories site. They have instructions for fitting the standard Volvo sensors which shows how to remove the bumper. The site link is

Top man, thanks, but unfortunately they only have the front guide not the rear! Any other ideas?

removing the rear bumber is dead easy.
best to get instructions from http://accessories.volvocars.com/Acc...rtNumberSearch look for towbar fitting as its in the first part of that basically, remove the two screws in the boot (inside door stops), there are 6 or so in each wheel arch, and another 2 plastic plugs into the exhaust heat guard underneath (these are single use, so you will need to find a replacement or get smart with some pliers) then it all just prises off. and best done when its warm out. |
