Fitting a Subwoofer to V50 system?

Hello,
I have the standard Volvo stereo system in my Volvo V50 Sport (06) and I want to fit an active sub-woofer for a richer bass sound. Does anyone know if this is possible and if there is a way of accessing the amplifier or is it buried in the centre console?

Someone did suggest stealing a feed from the rear speaker wires and powering it via the 12V socket in the boot.

I wondered if anyone else has fitted a sub to the V50?

I did a similar thing in my s40 tapped the rear speaker feed from the amp to an amp power from the power feed in the drivers side in the boot sounds far better above mid volume!
