Yeah, old folks are very stubborn when comes to their driving. Our neighbour, well in his seventies needed three accidents in short succesion to for the message to hit home. He also knocked his front garden wall down three times when reversing to turn around in our narrow street, and his brand new (then) civic had scrapes and dents all around, sad thing to see. Once I had to drive behind him (his rear bumper hanging off dragged behind the car) for a bit to get out our estate, he drove at around 15mph all the way, and took eons to get out of side road and turn right. After that when I saw him coming out I would give the old gimmer a head start to save myself grief of following him.

I recon after 70 they should introduce medicals every 12 months with emphasis on eye sight and reaction speed. Some of those elderly drivers can't drive for sh*t anymore and cause danger to everyone else (end themselves)
