The dealer has been excellent In all past dealings and this would be Volvo number 8 for me, not all from the same dealer. I am sure they will try their best for me and it's up to Volvo to get the detail on the ordering site sorted out so that it reflects the truth. I am sure that it is not beyond the wit of man to get a computer system for a business the size of Volvo up to speed so that it reflects the truth. If you have ordered an new XC 60 R design, be prepared for a bit of a wait.

My XC's took around 6 months, whereas the S60 was 2 weeks, simply because it was sitting there somewhere in a compound already built...!!

There was also a delay apparently due to the Tsunami in Japan and paint!!

Yep. When I buy something I tend to 'write my own contract', most of which is 'unreasonable' ie in my favour...!!! and not accepted by the seller....Agreement is then reached that is a bit watered down, I just make it clear what I expect, so thats fine with me.

I admit to reading all of them, although over the cars I must admit it is sometimes difficult actually the most difficult was the MX-5 as I wanted one that much and after all my searching .

Most sales people really do not know what they are agreeing to usually more interested in their commission earnings...then selecting all these options which are usually overly expensive.

I was told that the SE delivery is June/July and the Rdesign's is September because of the Nubuck material being used on the interior. Apparently they're having trouble getting it.

This came from a salesperson I'd spoken to from a Volvo dealership. They may not have been honest with you from the start - hope I'm wrong.

In which case pay the £500 upgrade to leather and have delivery sooner! I don't really like the look of the new part Nubuck / part fabric seats. Is it real nubuck or the fake stuff as used in the C30 / XC60 ES / SE models as there appears to have been a lot of trouble with that?
