XC 60 Coolant level low warning
The car has now done 7300 miles and is 9 months old, on Tuesday I was in Switzerland with a 6 hour journey back to the Netherlands, the warning came up so I stopped switched off the engine, checked the level and it was below minimum. Left the car 10 minutes and set off again, got all the way home no problem at all. Today I took it to the Volvo dealers, where they did a full diagnostic and leak check, nothing at all, so they topped it up and I was on my way. happy motoring again.

I've had similar issues with my D5 XC60.
Dash shows low coolant, pop the bonnet and it is below "min" I unscrew the coolant reservoir lid, pressure is released and level returns to just below "max". Had this 3 times now and so far have never had to add anything. It's on my list of things to mention at the next service as I have never had this on any other cars in the past.

Yes - this is a common issue. It happened to my whilst on holiday in the Hebrides so no chance of finding a dealer. I phoned my local dealer and they advised to just top it up with water as it only needed a small amount. It has been fine ever since.
