Default Boot opened on its own

I parked my car, locked and secure, yesterday afternoon.
My partner went out this morning to find the car unlocked and the boot wide open. The car is in the drive and nothing appears to be amiss.

Anyone had a similar experience, the car is a 2017 V90.

Thank you

Richard

Yes. You inadvertently pressed the boot open button in your pocket. I always check the cars before I go to bed and put the keys in the RF blocker pouch. It is worse for me depending on which trousers I wear. My jeans are always the worst. Not just Volvo either, came out to my passat one evening to find it open and all the windows open.

That does worry me about the Volvo keys with them being so bulky. I have started to carry the lifestyle key instead as it fits my pocket easier and has no buttons to worry about.

I check the cars from the window at night before going to bed, it would be nice if the app would tell me if the windows were closed though as I sometimes go out to check them as sometimes the light make it look like one is open. Also if it told me a door was not closed correctly or the boot not closed, in case I was away from car and just wanted to check it to be satisfied.

Morning Philip, that was my first thought, the key is always in my coat/jacket pocket. I stood near the living room window as well as the location my coat hangs. No matter how long or how many times I tried the boot wouldn't open.

Not sure then. You must have a long drive then. Mine will open the boot from consistently about 20 metres away. I even managed to open it at work from my office desk which is easily 25 metres away from where I park. Someone came in to tell me the boot was open and we checked the CCTV and the boot opened when I was sat at my desk. It was Friday. Dress down day and I was wearing my jeans.....

My app also shows windows open, I once checked app when car was in for repair to see if it had moved from workshop and it showed it was in the carpark with window open, it was raining very heavy so I rang the garage to ask them to close the windows and lock the car, a few minutes later it was done.

Under "doors and locks" on the main screen. If anything is wrong, such as boot open, unlocked or window open it shows here.

Well you learn something every day. Thanks for that.

I'll test it out later.
