Default Child Safety Seats for 440

Would anyone have any recommendations for a child safety seat (age 9 mths to 4 years) to fit a 440?

We've searched the internet, asked at Halfords etc but no-one seems to have any ideas.

Smile Child Safety Seats for 440

I had a similar problem about 4 years ago. I initially bought in Mothercare a GRACO infant safety seat (one of the smallest available), which was OK for the first few weeks. Soon after that, I had to buy something bigger, as my daughter didn't feel quite comfortable in it. As the seat belt at the back of my 440 seemed to be to short to accommodate any bigger child seat, I was initially contemplating changing the seat belt for a longer one, but that would have been quite expensive thing to be carried out only at the Volvo Dealer . I eventually found a suitable safety seat, which was purchased at Mothercare. This was a set comprising a pram with safety seat attached to the top of it. I forgot its exact name and brand (....Deluxe, manufactured for Mothercare - I need to double check that). I have recently checked their website and they haven't got exactly the same type I had, but you should be able to find something suitable or fairly suitable. I am saying fairly suitable, as for that seat I had to really stretch the seat belt whilst holding the seat in the position slightly inclined towards the back seat of the car (rear facing seat) to fix it properly. Generally, it wasn't very bad only a little bit annoying whenever I was in rush. When my daughter was a little bit over 3, I decided to buy a GRACO Junior seat, which I suppose should be OK until 6 years of age. The link is as follows: (http://www.mothercare.com/Graco-Juni...qid=1309347750). Try also Toys R Us - they have a similar range of products that may be suitable. Good Luck!

The travel system comprising a pram with infant safety seat + a few other gadgets from Mothercare, which I mentioned in my previous comment is called Trenton Deluxe. The one displayed in the following link is a very similar example to the one I bought 4 years ago, which was suitable to my 440: http://www.mothercare.com/Mothercare...uct_extensions
