Well I was in with Volvo today and although they couldn't explain the pin 5 and 7 being crossed they said it will still work ok.

They applied the update and got error messages, no connection to trailer module and ground b failure. The tech couldn't explain ground b fault but said the connection issue was maybe the wrong module box. My module box says part number 31407109 and he says the part should be 31407108, what's really stumped them is 31407109 doesn't show on the system anywhere..

They did do a check on everything and confirmed no mistakes were made, so they have ordered a new module box and harness in so hopefully be ok.

One thing I did mention was my reversing lights were not working, they said it would hardly matter, I did check bulbs and fuse when I got home and they are ok so will get a reverse switch tomorrow.

I doubt these would stop the trailer module working but may as well get them sorted so back end of car is 100% for going back next week

All sorted, faulty wiring harness. So much hassle...lol but at least it done now..

Anyone found Volvo distributor prepared to sell the electrics kit - and how much for. Getting jittery about even the Westfalia set which comes out at £126. This might be useful to someone - http://accessories.volvocars.com/en-...-452672-1/2012
