Default 940 Nivomat shock

Used Nivomat shock off a 940 estate

Doesn't appear to be leaking and extends when compressed. Gator is torn. Ideal to replace a leaking unit.

£20

Collection from Nottingham/Derby or can post.

Nivomats are special (that's another reason they cost) and do not need to be replaced as a pair .... just replace the leaking one.

AND, if you go to your friendly Volvo Dealer he will gladly supply you with a new 'gator'. You may well have a little problem slipping it on, but it can be done!

Not having had Nivo's before, are they likely to solve the problem I have with the 945 having a low back end (or perhaps a high front end)? not quite sure how they work or what sort of height difference could be expected.

My two problems are: hitch is low for trailer and I keep foreheading the open tailgate ! next step was to turn up some spacer disks (abt 30mm) to fit above springs but the lathe is tied up with something else at present.

So, possibly a customer...........

Yes people fit standard replacement rear shocks on Nivomat equipped cars and results in a sagging rear end as the Nivomat supports part of the weight.

Good news on the gator though.
