Hi I don't know the car very well but if you are running a vnt turbo, the best thing would be to drill and tap and fit a pipe fitting in the inlet manifold
as the vnt uses vacuum to control the boost so you csan not use the actuator pipe, but if it is not a vnt turbo you can use the actuator pipe as it will be pressure not vacuum, Dave |

Hi Andy
you need to find out what turbo you have, how did you turn up the boost just drill and tap and put a fitting in the inlet manifold, then it will not matter if it is a vnt turbo or not, Dave |

I turned up the boost by adjusting the waste gate which means it now produces more boost before waste gate opens. Do you have any pics or know best place to drill it

Hi Andy
So you have a standard wastgate, so all you need to do is Put a Y pipe adaptor in the wastgate rubber pipe I do not have any photos for v40 as I do not have one, I have a s60 D5 |

Hi when you connect to the turbo actuator pipe and if then you only get vacuum on the boost gauge, you have a VNT TURBO and by you adjusting the (waste gate) turbo actuator rod you have de-Calibrated the VNT TURBO,
