  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

What are you suggesting they did?

The way I read it yourbonnet catch was one cycle away from failing and the ATS when they opened it.

They didn’t handle it properly though, they should have explained the update risk, then phoned to advise your bonnet catch had failed and what did you want to do with it.

I dont really see how they could have broken it doing a software update - and a battery disconnect by the sound of it.

They would have had to open the bonnet to fit the battery charger during the long software updates .

The Sensus update requires three pieces of software if you do not have Sensus 3 installed before the map install upgrade. Sensus 3 is the infotainment version that can display bar charts (Trip Statistics) showing fuels consumption. £60 is a very fair price for the two map upgrade software components alone as many have paid more.

Perhaps you have had to pay for a Sensus 3 upgrade?

Mmmm strange because I do have Sensus v3.0 installed so not sure why it needs 3 separate updates

Well, the garage came good. Bonnet micro switch and bonnet cable replaced without charge. Maybe an unfortunate set of circumstances that both failed while in the garage but appreciated that I didn’t have to get into a messy discussion/dispute.
