No replacement windscreens
My Inscription Pro T5 was 4 days old when a stone cracked the front screen. Volvo don't have a replacement screen anywhere in the UK or Sweden. The car will be unusable for at least 5 weeks. Customer services seem to be the only people who don't know about how their customers are being let down. A great start to Volvo ownership - not!

Have you tried Autoglass or whoever is recommended by your insurance company? They usually carry better stocks than dealers.

Not sure how a cracked screen stops you from using the car? ok it's not ideal but it's hardly life-threatening, unless it was a massive boulder which caved in the screen badly.

The factory will order in X number of screens for X number of cars coming down production line. Most main dealers will if a new screen is needed buy in from an outside supplier such as Autoglass, your insurance company will have a "preferred" supplier.

I had a similar issue a while back. I had a cracked screen that was a Volvo one, which was replaced by auto windscreens with a generic one, not a Volvo part. It leaked from the word go and after inspection they agreed to replace it as it would be destroyed coming out. They rang me on the day of replacement to say they hadn’t got a screen to do it with and would need to source one. I waited 2 weeks then rang them to find out what was what and they said they had to order from Volvo with a wait of up to a month. I eventually had a Volvo screen done by them after nearly 4 weeks. Long wait but had it sorted in the end.

If you can you are best holding out for a genuine Volvo screen - the big fitting chains will use pattern parts if available and often they are nowhere near the quality of a genuine Volvo one.
