Air Con
This is just a thought but has anyone tried to or can offer an opinion on attempting to retrofit air con with climate control to a '90 740?
Thanks |

RE: Air Con
In theory doable but agreat deal of work. Best thing to do would be to get a donor car with all the stuff, remove and isntall in the right place.

RE: Air Con
When looking into aircon problems on my old 760 I did a bit of reading up on ECC and concluded that it is very complex. In short you will need the vacuum servos that control the vents and hot water, several temperature sensors (air in, cabin air, engine temp), the electronic speed control for the fan and the ECC computer. Oh, plus a dashboard full of plastic mouldings for all the air ducts. Then you need the standard aircon to bolt it all on to.
Suggest you look at later 760s for donor parts as they have ECC fitted as standard. All the best.
