WooHooooooooooo
Got a phone call today from the company looking after the insurance and repair quote. Seems the old girl is going to get FIXED!!!!!!!!!
An independant engineer has valued the car at wait for it a whopping £7500.00 so this means that because the repair is going to be less than a replacement they will fix it. So happy..... Regards Iain Last edited by adieu; Feb 15th, 2006 at 19:00. |

That is an absolutely fantastic result Iain! So glad for you and I'm sure she'll be back on the road in no time, and hopefully in time for this month's CB meet!

hehe
Think this might have had something to do with the £7,500.00 value. She should all be fixed up with her bum lift etc done by the 3rd of March.
The picture was taken from 2004 classic car mag. See my link for the full article. http://community.webshots.com/user/adieu100 Scroll down till you find classic car insde is the full article. Regards Iain |

Well, as I've already said, I'm really pleased for you Iain. The used car market is suffering somewhat now and my only fear was that the insurer might use that as an excuse. So what are you enjoying in the meanwhile, V50T5, V70T5 or V70R??

ah
Got a brand new (4000miles) V70 2.4 (170 bhp version) it's a nice car, but not mine. Drives well and handles well but I had to turn the DSTC off as it kept P***ing me off, cutting power all the time when accelrating out of corners and stuff. Still it's all leather etc etc etc....

Fantastic News
Iain, fantastic news! I'm so glad that she's going to be repaired and it'll be a load of you and your wife's mind as I know how much you both value the car. I look forward to seeing the T-5R when she's back on the road!
