Doesn't sound right to me but ok.
Non Nivo cars are rare in the UK but this year I have ended up with of them yet never seen one without Nivos before.

My Triumph Heralds had them and I think also the Spitfire. They had IRS but only one UJ on each drive shaft at the inboard end near the diff. I did some local rallies and driving tests with my saloon. When cornering hard at speed the unloaded inner rear wheel tucked in rather dramatically. I think the Vitesse and the GT6 had two UJs on each drive shaft which kept the inner wheel more vertical.

Was going to mention the Triumph 1200, 12/50 and Herald/Vitesse etc range of the late '50/'60's. Go round a moderately easy bend on a hill and you dare to use the accelerator and the inner bend rear wheel would collapse under you!!

Even worse in Autumn with wet leaves on the road!

I did some hill climbs as well. If well maintained the wheel and suspension didn’t actually collapse, just looked as if it was about to. Back in the 70s when on traffic patrol in North Northumberland I happened upon a young foreign couple who were on holiday with their Triumph Herald. The outriggers on the chassis on these cars were prone to rot quite badly and the chassis on their car had not been very well maintained. The front end of one of the rear suspension radius arms had become detached from the chassis outrigger, dropped to the ground and pushed the rear suspension back and in over forcing the wheel up into the boot floor. I felt heartily sorry from them, their holiday now ruined.

I am sure I read something about using 340 drive shafts to convert the Triumph
