I got them from here :
https://www.larkspeed.com/category/view/KONIACTIVEVOLV After watching a couple ofmanufacture favoured videos, I read a couple of independent reviews, one compared them to Bilstein B6 with the Koni favoured for road use and the B6s better suited to track use. They stiffen up on smooth surfaces and hard driving but soften the response on bumpy surfaces. I've got comfort springs fitted rather than the dynamic springs because I found them to hard. These dampers are stiffer than the volvo dynamic set up but handle uneven surfaces much better and has reduced scuttle shake to just a slight vibration on all but really bad road surfaces.

I treated all the box sections etc with Dinitrol ML rust proofing.
The car is 17 years old and almost completely rust free underneath, although it has led a very sheltered and pampered life. One thing that did surprise me is although the original phosphate dipping has obviously done its designed job over the years there is no rust prevention fluid in any of the cavities. All rubber bungs removed and chassis box sections treated along with the sills, doors, front wings and bonnet. It is a mucky job and the car is now dripping onto newspaper overnight - a bit like having a new puppy in the house. Fluid applied at 4 bar and surprising how far it travels in the sections, fog appeared in the most unlikely places. The doors are not easy to gain access, so I removed the red door open light and used that as access. Sprayed it in on the level and then lifted the rear of the car up and sprayed again until it ran out the front drain hole. I will have another look as and when I have the door panel off, but at least the bottom seam is well covered. One of the chassis sections before and after.

Wish mine was rust free, blummin thing. Last week I noticed the rear bumper was down by a centimetre. Decided to remove it and found all that was holding it in place was the pop rivets into the mud flaps. The big holding brackets were dust .
New brackets arrived today....

I'd recently bought some wheels ( Thanks to V70moss ) and after choosing the four most suitable wheels from these and the ones already on the car, I had them refurbished.
I've now fitted them back on the car together with new centre caps and the result looks a lot tidier. Martin 1998 V70 Tdi auto, 226,000 miles |

Refurbished wheels make a heck of a difference. They look smart
