Default Cannot update maps using USB option

Hi there,

I am consistently getting the following error when I try to update the maps for Northwestern_Europe. The version I have is 11.53 which appears to be 2018.

Map data could not be read
Check USB and try again

I've followed the basic setps as described on many forums, validated the USB data is ok using the Volvo Sensus app on my MAC and reformatted a new 64g USB drive as FAT32 for MAC.

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance

Have you tried formatting the USB as exFAT. Latest version is 1300 - 2GB file

I reformatted the USB drive but still get the same error message.

Question: I am assuming that I do not have to unzip the files as that would done as part of the update process?

Default Latest Sensus Map Updates.

I just successfully updated all the maps in my V90 MY17.
It had version 1160 on, now it has version EU_904_1300.
I’m Mac based.
I tried all sorts to get it to work Over The Air updates were NOT available as it said they were too large (probably not updated for years)
This is what I did...
Format 128 GB USB card to MSDOS - Master Boot Record
Accessed and Downloaded Entire Europe Maps 50GB

https://www.volvocars.com/uk/support...aps/spa/europe

Opened Volvo Sensus Update app,
Clicked save direct to USB which took 35mins (saving to HD and copying later did not work, files were different and there were only 23GB of them...)
Verified download.
Ejected stick correctly.
Went to car, started Car, inserted USB into slot (don’t have anything in second slot)
Stick recognised and it started Install.
You keep engine running, go for a drive.
35mins later it said complete.
You then have to park up, leave and lock car for a bit and it’s all done in your return.
