Hi there kev that is a fantastic offer but guess what???? I went outside to have a look at the towing sockets that were broke on the metal holding plate, they were being held on by cable ties and to my suprise i noticed the main wiring harness was out of the socket and the wires were touching each other and the bumper saver plate.
So i seperated them, plugged the two bulbs back in and as i pushed the relay switch into the wiring socket it started working.i then switched on the ignition and both indicators now work perfectly.hooray,
I found two nearly new towing sockets at the breakers complete with old fashioned sway bar connector fitted on a 940,If i hadn't got them to replace mine i doubt i would have spotted the wires as they were tucked underneath.
One volvo helping out another!,,,,a bit freaky.
I will be visiting more yards looking for a full size spare alloy as well as an interior tailgate trim panel so the relay will also be on the list just in case.
Very kind of you to offer though very much appreciated.
Brian.
