Need a couple torque values verified...tables/pics provided
Hey everybody I'm fairly new and in a big hurry, so please forgive my thread placement.
I'm working on my gf's '02 S80 replacing the front passenger wheel bearing and I'm not entirely sure I'm able to identify what these two bolts are called in the torque table I have. These are the bolts... And according to this table... ... I think they're being labeled 'suspension strut to hub carrier.' The torque spec. seems appropriate for this large of a bolt w/ 2 stage tightening first to 77 ft/lbs then an extra 90 deg. Have I identified these bolts correctly and is this the correct torque spec? (Sorry for the fuzzy image. You can do Ctrl + 'plus sign' to make it larger and easier to read) Last edited by bradleyheathhays; Oct 17th, 2017 at 04:56. |

Yes, that's them. Since you've had them apart you should get the alignment checked after.

Thanks, didn't know that. Drove it up to around 60 mph after having those two bolts out and swapping out the wheel hub. Seemed like the alignment was ok. What's the chance you think it doesn't need an alignment?

You might have been lucky but I'd get it checked anyway.

any bolt with a degree value afterwards are 'torque to yield' bolts. Once used they must be replaced with new if youre trying to do things throughly.
personally ive re-used these before without issue, just thought it may be worth knowing Dunc PS, wrong section
