Default 12v socket fuses

Hi All

I'm a very happy new owner of an XC60 D5 R design, 2010 plate. Apologies if I'm asking something that's been queried before but I'm hoping someone can assist with what is probably a very simple issue.

The front and central console 12v sockets have suddenly stopped working (between inspecting and collecting the car) so I'm assuming it's a fuse thats gone. The manual in my glovebox says this fus (no. 25) is under the bonnet, however, when I access the fuse housing there's nothing in location 25, no fuse and no contacts. There's another fuse in the block under the glovebox that's defined, in the manual, as the rear cargo 12v socket (this still works). So I'm wondering if I'm missing something daft or is it that there were changes made during 2010 and maybe I've got a superseded manual that is now not quite right for the actual car?

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks

Volvo Al

The fuse for this in my 2013 V60 & 2014 XC60 was under the dash just above the passenger foot well.

If you look up under you will see a small squarish fuse box.

Hope this helps.

Good luck.

Mike

Agreed.
My 62 plate XC60 had the same fault and it was the fuse in the passenger footwell fusebox. In the fusebox under the bonnet was a special tool for removing the fuse and luckily for me, a spare fuse as well.

Good stuff, many thanks. If anyone could share a diagram of the fuse relating to this (under the glovebox), obviously not covered in the manual for my model, that would be great.

Cheers.
