2002 s40 1.9t Loud sound at breather box
I'm trying to figure out what a loud sound is coming from the breather box, when taking off in low gear and after getting up to about 2000 rpm and letting off gas peddle I hear a sound like either a lot of suction or blowing. Could it have something to do with the Turbo?
Thank! Also it does not happen unless it is in gear. It could also be a muffled rattling sound. Last edited by diggerdude; Oct 14th, 2017 at 00:13. |

If its a turbo then it'll have a dump valve / BOV surely? I know standard ones are quite quiet usually but you may still hear it when you let off, its just the excess boost pressure being released.
