I also found myself in the same situation, Last garage that serviced my C70 must have had a gorilla with an extension bar tighten the plug.
I tried, The Chisel The mole grips, The stielsons The BIG Stelsons and the Irwin removal tool. But because the car was only on the low set of car ramps, I could not get the leverage to get the torque required to release it. I eventually got it out using the Irwin socket Hammered on, with a High Torque 24v Impact driver. That undid it in a split second, making me wish I had tried that in the beginning ... lol

Just had this problem, in the end welded a big nut on the end and used a ring spanner. It came off then no problem. I feel the problem stems from an alloy sump (why?) and the steel plug corroding together.
