850 2.5 SE Estate Auto

Tragic change in circumstances means unfortunately I need to get rid of my beloved Volvo (Sven II). Description below, pictures and story behind this car can be found here. Any questions, please shout. More up to date pictures to follow once I've resized them and uploaded them.

Asking £1500 but open to sensible offers. No swaps or part ex.

The car:
• 1996 Volvo 850 Estate 2.5 SE Auto
• ~113k miles
• Silver Sand
• No history before me
• Purchased as a sad case during lockdown and been a project ever since
• Bodywork straight with only very minor marks, no dents and no rust
• MOT until 23rd Nov – check out the history, no advisories

Standard spec:
• Electric windows x 4
• Electric sunroof (no leaks and fully operations)
• Remote central locking with 1 blipper and 2 keys
• Electric mirrors
• Heated seats

Prior to my ownership:
• Dropped on coilovers
• Windows tinted
• Chameleon windscreen
• Bigger brakes with blue callipers
• Interior replaced with leather
• Powerflow exhaust

During my ownership I have fitted:
• Rear spoiler
• Later V70 clear side repeaters and upper rear lights
• Columba alloys (Directional, pretty rare)
• Resprayed the rear bumper plus the front and rear black inserts of the bumpers
• Fitted a laguna splitter
• Fixed the tailgate
• Sony head unit
• Later V70 washer jets
• PCV system replaced with genuine Volvo parts

The not so good:
• There is no history prior to my ownership
• Driver’s heated seat doesn’t work
• Air con doesn’t work
• Service light won’t reset

If I could sell my 740 in time I could well be interested. Pity you are also 450 miles away

I've always fancied a nice 850

Looks a very well kept car. That upper dashboard could be out in ten minutes and the part that has lifted may well glue back down with clamps, as that is the only thing that detracts from a very smart vehicle.
